Alors, ma rencontre avec l’écriture date d'il y a 12 ans déjà! J'ai vraiment commencé à écrire vers 2007. J'ai écrit d'abord pour moi-même des débuts d'histoire pour enfants. Puis au fil des mois, j'ai vu que j’étais sérieuse dans ce processus, que mon intérêt pour l'écriture ne faiblissait pas, alors je les ai étoffé.
J'en ai inventé d'autres et de fil en aiguille, j'ai décidé d'en publier quelque unes en ligne (e-books pour enfants) sur un site web Américan qui s'appelle Smashwords.com. J'ai aimé l'aventure de laisser mon imagination vagabonder et de le laisser partir vers des petites histoires fantastiques. Des petits mondes parallèles tout simples et déroutants.
Je me suis inscrite à un groupe mensuel local de littérature et j'ai commencé a écrire des poèmes.
Puis j'ai écrit des articles pour une association à but non lucrative qui proposait de promouvoir la créativité en Irlande. Cette association s'appelait Upstart.ie. Cette expérience fut aussi tres enrichissante. J'interviewais différents écrivains et je publiais en ligne sur ce site leur interviews.
J'ai aussi écrit pour un site étudiant qui s'appelait studenty.me à Dublin. Ces deux sites web ont depuis fermé malheureusement.
J'ai écrit des articles pour un magazine d'actualités en ligne qui s'appelait Irish News Review qui lui existe toujours.
Puis je me suis mise à écrire un article par mois pour un journal local Irlandais autour de 2011. Chaque article couvrait un événement artistique mensuel se passant à Dublin.
C'est en regardant le film "Julie and Julia" de Nora Ephron que je me suis lancée le défi au premier Janvier 2011 de créer un blog et d’écrire un post par jour dans cette même année. Je n’étais pas sure de pouvoir me tenir a un post par jour. Mais j'avais envie d'essayer.
J'ai écrit au final 210 posts sur 365 jours, un post presque tous les deux jours ce qui n'est pas si mal. J’étais fière de cet exploit car on ne sait que trop souvent comment finisse les bonnes résolutions de l’année!
Entre 2011 et 2017, je n'ai écrit qu'en anglais sur ce blog.
Puis en 2017, je me suis remise à écrire en français dans ce blog.
J'ai mis en dessous tous les liens (dont je me rappelle) qui retrace ses aventures littéraires.
Chaque chemin m’a ouvert une porte vers un monde intérieur ( une porte sur des histoires pour enfants, une porte sur des histoires romantiques, une porte sur l'écriture d'interviews, une porte sur l'écriture d'évènements artistiques, une porte sur la poésie, une porte sur l'écriture et la mise en page d'un blog, une porte sur l'écriture d'un livre fantastique etc...) et il me semble qu'il y a pleins d'autres portes à ouvrir.
La dernière porte en date que j'ai ouvert est du "reflective journaling" comme disent les anglais: je tiens un journal de réflexion.
Grâce à la lecture d'un livre de Julia Cameron qui s'appelle "Libérez votre créativité je me suis mise à cette pratique très thérapeutique.
Ce livre propose d’écrire 3 pages du matin chaque jour pour "vider" notre tête et faire de la place pour la journée qui commence.
Je peux témoigner des bienfaits au quotidien.
Voici quelques bienfaits de l'écriture selon moi:
Les bienfaits de l’écriture sont nombreux.
J'ai pu constater que cette pratique permettait d'augmenter la créativité, de réduire le stress, en particulier de diminuer le rythme cardiaque et de la tension artérielle, d’améliorer ses qualités rédactionnelles, d'entrer en contact avec son “moi profond”, de créer ou de recréer de nouveaux repères intérieurs, de gagner en confiance en soi, de dépasser sa timidité, de faire le tri dans ses émotions, de prendre du recul sur ce qui se passe en soi mais aussi de prioriser ses projets de vie.
Pour toutes ces raisons et bien d'autres encore, je continue ce voyage fabuleux qu'est l'aventure de ce type d'écriture.

Below are books and articles I wrote many moons ago. They got me to start writing. It surprised me as I got into a well of creativity that was unknown to me. But as we grow, our needs change.
I am more on standby. I am more interested now in keeping a journal as it does a lot for me. But this may change. And that is the great thing about writing. It offers many doors to our inner world ( a fantasy door, a romantic door, a lyrical door, an authentic door, a fiction door, ect....)
